It seems pretty difficult to explain your recording by magnetic arguments,
since they are a type of force that falls away as 1/r^3 which means it takes
an extremely powerful source to make any recording at distances of more than a
hundred meters.  These observations can be made, but they usually involve huge
perturbations of the entire Earth's magnetic field as it interacts with
radiation or from the core itself.  So for a dinky little satellite...probably
just some interesting noise around the same time.
