Rick What I did was to use Larry's interface schematic #2 with the 74HC14. I didn't use the led though. The only wires going to the clock display were to DCF and ground. I used the wire pair from a trashed set of head phones. They were fine and fit thru the antenna hole. I connected DCF to pin #1 of the 74hc14 . I left the batteries in. I use the diodes to knock the 5 vts to 3.8 as Larry shows.
