I built this for a strip type recorder using cheap cash register rolls. With a longer arm it could be used to walk across a drum. It has been in operation well over a year with no failures, and we have gotten excellent recording results with no problems using ordinary "sharpie" type pens. The unit has enough torque to probably run a Dremel engraver on aluminum strip material (if you wanted "fade proof" recordings)... Was there some TV show called "Have drum, will travel"? __________________________________________________________ Public Seismic Network Mailing List (PSN-L)
