$0.02 While drum recorders may be ,in some cases, more convienient to look at, I think I would rather have digital data to analyse rather than try to convert markings on a paper to "numbers". Event processing and frequency filtering of an event is better done when one has digital data already in hand. If one converts digital data thru an D/A to analog display then that seems reasonable.
