Apparently other areas of the earth have had similar episodes, but unfortunately at least in the articles; they don't really get into detail at all....in the sense of any kind of a "forecast" of what might or could, or has happened in other areas for example. I suppose its rather totally unpredictable, and could deflate with time possibly. I'am glad they do have the tools to see the change over time. I'am amazed with the huge area of uplift they show.
