I'm a little confused about how heating the top of the cover works. Won't this just create an inversion layer at the top of the enclosure? Ie, instead of the convection currents going all the way to the top and turning around, the currents will turn around when they meet the heated layer, perhaps an inch or two from the top. Has any measurable reduction in noise been noticed between the heaters being on and off? __________________________________________________________ Public Seismic Network Mailing List (PSN-L)
