Thanks for the ftp link.  I think it will work just fine for my purposes.
I have a perl script that combines the output from several Internet event
lists into one report file that can be used by Winquake.  Unfortunately,
it's not very sophistocated and I have to modity the code every time one of
the Internet lists changes format.

What you see from the www finger gateway is the unix shell script that is
supposed to return the result of the finger inquiry.  I seems that
sometimes it returns the finger output and sometimes it returns the code
for the shell script.
