Several years ago Ed Cranswick and others helped 2 local school  groups 
present their seismograph station studies at  the annual American 
Geophysical Union meeting in San Francisco and it was a great success 
for all involved.   A special session for high school students  is 
being organized at this year's meeting and if anyone on the PSN list is 
currently working with a school in the San Francisco area, it would be 
a great opportunity for the students to present their work.   The 
meeting is the 2nd week of December and abstracts are due September 4.  
If anyone is interested, please contact me and I will put you in touch 
with Jill Karsten, the organizer of the session.
