                               the last pic is missing though, maybe u

   I see u are using a similar principle to the wire pivot used in the long 
period seismometer by the Worldwide Standard Seismic Network
   I used one of those seismo's back in New Zealand and it was VERY 
successful.
One of the Denver area PSN'ers also has one   think that was John Lahr  :)
