I understand the physics of wave propagation through
water or ground or anything allows for shadow areas
where there is little or no energy.
It seems reasonable to assume such shadow areas
can affect small areas closer to the event
and not just 103 or so degrees away.
maybe you were just in one of these shadow zones ???
