I just learned the MIT has posted a lot of information on their 
courses (see below). In the case of seismology, there are even 
lecture notes (see: 
http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/Earth--Atmospheric--and-Planetary-Sciences/12-510Spring-2005/LectureNotes/). 
I haven't looked at many of them, but this is a good place to learn 
about the theory.
