Hi Roger,
 
    If you look carefuly at the trace, there is hf  noise for maybe 15 sec 
before the main signal, which itself lasts for maybe 40  sec. If it had been a 
meteor, I would have expected an impulse signal without  any initial buildup 
and with little tail. This looks more like a large aircraft  to me.
