Hello,

I am thinking of trying to buid a seisomgraph for my son's school. I have
quite a bit of experience in shallow exploration geophysic's, mostly
electrical and electromagnetic, but none in seismology. I ahve searched the
internet and found quite a few resources.

I have also noticed a seismograph (or strong motion accelerameter) on sale
at e-bay, with an opening bid of $75. It is apparently an old unit that was
surplused from NOAA. It is made by Teledyne Geotech and uses a film
recorder. The seller admits to knwing nothing about it. Does anyone know
anything about these units. Would it be difficult to convert to recording
on a computer?

Thanks
