Hi Dave,

       You used to be able to buy 'sausages' of cloth + silica gel about 2" 
in dia x 10" long for drying out rubber boots...! Try marine suppliers? 
Suppliers of horse riding equipment? 

       Also try electronic component suppliers? I know that uk.farnell.com in 
the UK sell individual packs of silica gel in 10, 50 and 100 gm sizes. 

       Do any photographic shops chuck out drying packs? A lot of camera 
accessories are packed with a dessicant pack.  How about pharmacists? Laboratory 
suppliers should carry it.
