Hi Kareem,

       Which Dataq ADC? Some are worse than others. 12 bit is absolute
minimum for seismometers. 

       Do check, but military geophones were mostly higher frequency, 10
Hz+. You want a 4.5 Hz or less.

       How about constructing a Lehman?
