I tried to use my Toshiba laptop for some long term
data logging. Even though I turned off the screen
saver, turned off Hibernate in the control panel, and
went to a secret place in the boot up screen, I
couldn't keep it from ignoring date input after about
12 hours. It was maddening. I switched over to an HP
desktop and all was well.
I've done a number of solar powered low power systems.
Once you know your power consumption, I'll be glad to
size your panel and battery for you.
