The guy's that worked at the USGS back in the late 80's mixed up a
couple of cups of light plaster and glopped it on the cement floor and
sat the geophone in it.=20

Subject: How to bolt a geophone to the floor ?
Hi all
How can I bolt (stuck) a geophone down to a floor plate so it doesn't
move in a case of a large earthquake ?
I am preparing to setup a second earthquake station in a friends place.
He is a lot closer to major earthquake zones then I am and large
earthquakes can make thing shake in his area and move objects around.
Regards.
