The Cornell Lab of Ornithology offers a free program for displaying  
waterfall spectrograms of WAVE format sound files, which although intended  primarily 
for the study of bird songs, would be useful for earthquakes as well.  All you 
have to do is convert your event files to 16-bit monaural WAVE  format and 
use Cornell's "Raven Lite 1.0" application. It is free, and can  display 
spectrograms in color or black-and-white. See:
