Dave,

Your MS Paint-based diagrams are very impressive.  I use AutoCAD for this 
purpose myself.

I would be interested in seeing your symbol library as well as knowing of 
any grid or snap settings in Paint that you use to get line endpoints to 
match up and place symbols evenly.
