I put together a web page that describes my process for measuring the
parameter, newtons/amp for 3 different coil and magnet assemblies. Check out
http://sites.google.com/site/seismicsensorinfo/meas-newtons-per-amp  I will
be adding new information to the site as time permits. The goal is to use
one of these coils as part of a vertical seismometer with a feedback
mechanism. All comments are welcome. An aside note, Google no longer is
allowing additional googlepages web sites. However they now want people to
use http://sites.google.com/site/yoursitename as the free web tool. You
don't have as much freedom in this new environment, but you also have more
tools for adding content. The big difference is that Google does not want
you to add your own HTML code. So you may need some work-arounds for some
desired needs.
