Thomas and Co
                            keep an eye on the quakes particularly in the 
New Zealand
to Tonga region (The Tonga Kermadec Trench) and you will regularly see events
 >600km in depth.   Some years back this same topic came up and I remember
commenting on the areas had I had done plots of depth V's locating and it was
a good personal study into subduction zones... the angle of the subducting slab
depths they were getting to etc.  Look for regions where the plate motions are
very high >6.5cm / year to show the regions of the deepest quakes.
   As I also mentioned that last time look at Alan Jone's software that 
plots all the
data for you in 3 dimensions  :)
