Thanks Bob for your comments. I looked at USIN about 20 miles from me 
and IU at Bloomignton, IN about 60 miles away for both events. Their 
data confused me even more! The E-W and N-S for the "S" wave amplitude 
is not appreciably different ... particularly if ScS, SP and SPP are ignored
