Subject: Run WinSDR and WinQuake on a Virtual Hard Drive

My primary computer is a MAC running Snow Leopard 10.6.2 as the =
operating system. I have it networked with two other PCs running =
Windows XP Home. One of the PCs is used primarily for seismology, =
running WinSDR and WinQuake. I also have a Davis Instruments Vantage =
Pro 2 weather station on the same computer. I loaded Parallels 5 (which =
sets up a Windows virtual hard drive) on my MAC and set up a Windows =
virtual hard drive. I then loaded WinSDr and WinQuake along with my =
weather station software, and they all run fine on the virtual hard =
drive. There were no problems recording, viewing or manipulating any of =
the data.

The only extra that I had to do was purchase a DB-9 to USB adapter =
(negligible cost), and download the appropriate driver (free on the =
internet) as I switched from a DB9 on my PC to a USB hub plugged on my =
MAC. =20
