I know you are adults yet I will
warn all of you to stay away from Hg.
It is tripleuncoolstuff that will damage
your nervous system with every breath.
It amazes me that this country is willing
to use Hg vapor lamps. Its sort of
like that nasty ancient roman empire
where the leaders all poisoned themselves
with seasoning their food with Plumb Bum.
I used to work with the stuff and at night
Id go to bed with a gold wedding ring
covered in silvery Hg but in the
morning it would once again be gold.
The Hg on the ring was vaporizing
while my wife and I slept.
At work I was probably getting a much higher dose.
I just say, please, as an amateur, stay away from that stuff.
Best regards,
geoff
