Hi Louis,

I was wondering the same thing. I have had one of these sensors online since 1997.
The FBA-23 is a strong motion sensor, mine has a +-2G range, that is designed to
record large LOCAL events without saturating. Since you are in Tucson, AZ you will
probably not record very many earthquakes with this type of sensor. What you need for
your very nicely built vault is a long period sensor so you can record large events
from all over the world.
