I too have this OS.
Not sure what your saying.
I never had that trouble before.
Make sure you have administrator rights in your user account
and that the files of interest are owned by the administrator group.
Then you should be able to do
anything with anything.
But be forewarned:
Playing with security rights can be hazardous to your OS
make sure you you either create a restore point
or have the install disk ready to redo your operating system.
If you by chance delete all disk security you will not be able
to restore or anything but reload the system.
Keep all user data within a separate partition.
Create a small 100MB fat16 partition in front of the System.
Let us know how you finally resolve this trouble.
Set the security of your system prior to
installing any programs at all.

Subject: Data Files in WinSDR, Windows 7
A couple weeks ago I upgraded my seismometer PC to a new one with Windows 7, 64 bit. I really like the improved performance. I was
trying to access the data directory and I noticed that it seems I don't have any files. I was able to peek at the folder when saving
an event and I see the files are there but they have a lock symbol next to the files and this is the same with my saved events. So
how do I open that lock? I looked at the properties of the folder and gave myself read permission, but I still can't see the folder
contents. Any ideas?
