    Correct, but what could produce a whole cloud of H2S? An industrial ac=
cident?  Methane isn't poisonous and can be breathed without any problem.=
 The major danger is an explosion when mixed with air. It does not self ig=
nite.
    Hail sounds like a possible explanation for the bird deaths. Ligtning=
 is very localised in it's effects, qlthough it does produce a large bang.=
 What sort of formation do these birds fly in?
