Subject: Re: Recording earthquakes from 3rd floor

Hi Glenn,
I am used to high background noise, so that won't be a problem. I won't
e far up from the ground. But high enough up. I am unclear on how they
uild houses in Denmark to be exact. But I am going to know soon enough
n that issue.
I am going to be use a geophone 4.5Hz as I have been doing so far. I do
ot know when I get a low period seismomter.
Dear J=C3=B3n Fr=C3=ADmann.
Mauro Mariotti in Italy used to sell special period compensation boards=
which effectively turned 4.5 Hz geophones into 0.5 Hz ones. With this modi=
fication, they pick up distant P ans S waves very nicely.
