I thought So,
I know you can never make a perfect connection
between two anythings and like there exists
a reflection of energy at such points
but that all at radio frequencies
where skin effect starts to matter above or near
1MHz. (remember tesla coils)
Also,
I think results are more important than precision
and accuracy. Precision interferes with
the building process making things more difficult
so why not just build it till it works and figure the
through educated guesses what you really have done.
So like just wind the coil.
Measure the average diameter.
Take the resistance.
Look up the wire resistance (e.g.. 100Ohms/1000Ft)
then use math to get the idea how many turns.
Counting each turn is just too tedious.
Also I do not understand, but there can
be a lot of current in a bar of copper
located in a magnetic field
instead of a coil so why cant there
be a simple way to use a bar of copper
and somehow convert all that current
into a semiconductor input since
unlike vacuum tubes semiconductors
are current devices in the first place.
Its easier to work with a single chunk of copper
than that fine wire if somehow you
can use the current as an input instead of the voltage.
ideas ??
Thanks everyone for your responses.

This definitely does work. Look up "multifilar winding" on the Internet.
It can lead to problems with end-to-end capacitance when high
frequencies are involved, but for seismic frequencies it should work
just fine.
