The conversion from Km/s to mph..........Km/s X 2236.936.

The conversion from mph to Km/s..........mph X 0.00044704.

25,000 mph =3D 11.176 Km/s

The speed of P waves depends upon the temperature and density of the =
rock it is moving through. The normal velocity is 5 km/s (11,184 mph) =
to 8 km/s (17,895 mph).
