Hello Geoffrey,
Please tell us a little more about your setup. How are the 2 machines used.
Is one of them your web server or do you have an ISP that provides the web
server. The simplest method is to use the FTP update provided in WinSDR. You
just enter a few key items, e.g., username/password, etc. Go to Settings/FTP
Upload and fill in the required info.

Hello PSN,

I'm using WINSDR to record earthquakes.

I'd like to automate the process of showing
or uploading the gif file generated by WINSDR
for the WWW to look at.

I need to network the two machines I have
in order to record and upload.

What is the best way to connect these
two machines to the internet at the same time
and upload data once per hour or so ?

I do not want to use a wireless anything
and I do not want a fancy router.

Just to provide simplex communications
to upload a new picture to my own website
periodically.

With simplex upload communications
I should require no firewall to protect
my old laptop ?

Is there a non-powered way to connect/LAN these
two machines ?
Possibly, Ethernet Manifold of some kind ?

geoff
