***yes totally nutz,  BUT   an interesting article linked in that one was of a guy
who had a bunch of radon detectors he built and installed around the place.
Predicted the quake and had a gag order placed on him by the Govt and head
of that commission.

I searched for "L'Aquila 2009 earthquake prediction" and got

    The way to go! The problem with radon is that you don't always get emissions
associated with a quake and sometimes see raised levels, but get no quake.
