Hello Geoff,

The best fix for this is simple. There is an flaw in how different
versions of Windows communicate. That is the source of this issue, but
also the solution so to speak.

The solution to this problem is this. You create same user with same
passwords on both computers. That way you can share files and folders
between the computers without any issues. In both Windows XP and Windows 7
you should turn off "Simple Sharing" option. It is only there to confuse
you and lock you out of the sharing option that you need to use on both
computers.


This should answer all your questions in regards to this Windows sharing
folder issue.
