Thats Nice to know, i will study it later,
I just got my recorder machine up and running.
it had original winxp OS and I had to update the
OS to sp1a then to sp3. It now seems to work OK.

My ISP mediacom seems to go down intermittantly
for long periods of time and I can not guarantee
constant updates to my website.

This is frustrating and odd, to me it looks like
human intervention and not accidental.

They hook up an RCA DOCSYS2 modem and it runs OK
but with my MOTOROLA docsys3 the connection
is excellent mostly but seems to be messed up
with no connection like no distant server (ISP)
is online. I wonder if mediacom is using hard sell tactics
to get one to rent their RCA stuff ??

problems like this are human interventions of the worst kind.
very military in nature.

Just a thought

Thanks for your replies.

Regards,
geoff.
