Hi DAVE, This does not sound good, you might want to send a note to
Larry along with a sample dataset. I'm not sure what the " Invalid Quake
File (bad header check) " message is. Here is a thought, go to Larry's
site and get an event file and open it in Winquake to see if it opens
without an error. I also have one more question, will Winquake open any
dataset from your current WinSDR configuration or only the ones you
created with Replay? Invalid to me says there might be a space or
special char in one of the systems setting of WinSDR causing Winquake to
crash. I would check to see if everything is lowercase and alpha/numeric
without spaces or special characters. My next idea will take a little
work but you might also try feeding channel #1 via jumper (channe#l
input to the hardware board) to also feed channel #2 on the hardware
board and then create channel #2 in WinSDR keeping the default settings
and testing to see if you can create valid datasets.

One other thing you might try, to just get the system going, if it is
still not going, is to create a new subdirectory and then change the
system files settings in WinSDR to use the new directory. Then fire up
WinSDR and let it run for a few hours and trigger a few events by
walking near the seismograph. Once you have a few hours of data in the
new systems files test to see if Winquake works and if you can generate
a replay event file that does work. In the past I've had WinSDR mess-up
the system data files and at times completely stop being able to upload
Gif image files or even just stop without warning. This has worked to
get everything reset. My last though, go into WinSDR and find logging
and turn logging on. Once it is started open the log file and you can
view the messages as they are created. This might also give you a clue
as to what the system is doing as it is running.

Regards, Steve Hammond PSN San Jose.

ok I changed the station ID to xxxxxxx.syz.psn (instead of
xxxxxxx.sydz.psn ) within WinSDR and did another event save it saved it
under the new file name still wont load into WQ and WQ still doesnt see
the file within the events
folder
