I am possibly thinking of using magnetic repulsion/attraction  to
educe the pull of gravity and thus increase the
eriod of a vertical geophone ?=20

    The period of geophone depends entirely on the mass=20
of the armature and the spring constant. It has the=20
same period whether vertical or lying on it's side.=20
