I would be happy to keep the discussion on the list.  As you say it is
somebody from out of no where with a totally different background that will
see a connection to something else and the world will change.   

 

What do we do about the science education?  My son's earth science was
cancelled for physical education required by a state mandate.  I have
offered seismometer loans and demo's to the high school and been turned down
by 2 of 3 instructors.  I have asked why my middle school does not
participate in a regional science fair and was told there is no money to pay
the teachers for extra work.  The federal and state mandates are driving out
any creativity to be replaced by teaching to the standardized tests.  OK I
apologize, no more politics, let's get back to springs.
