Kareem...

My quart bottle of ink came from Graphic Control Systems

(800) 669-1535
I've often wondered about buying ink from these places that refill ink
jet cartridges.

I have some tubing... .125" OD .085" OD .050" OD the .125
inch is the most flexible, but kind of big and heavy.
Stiffness of the tubing has been a problem... I wish the smaller
diameters were as flexible as the .125" tubing.

I also have hypodermic needles... and "dental needles", which are about
the same size as the hypodermic needles,
but their length is much longer.

Secret to a capillary pen system is having the pen just touching the
paper ever so lightly... so that when
the system is working properly, the capillary action is actually pulling
the pen to the paper.
Also the ink source must be below the pen contact point...
other wise you are actually siphoning the ink rather than pulling it;
which causes a much larger trace.

And as I've said in previous posts... the pen tip touching the paper,
must be _*exactly*_ tangent with the recording surface.

Yes

So, you're using a similar capillary ink system?
I do not know as the one I am using was hand-built from an old syringe
capillary needle, bits of brass, solder, and small plastic tubing.

Hi Kareem-

I use Scheaffer Skrip fountain pen ink. I find that the ink seems to be
self dissolving in that normal flow will keep the pen clean and clear.
If I forget to change the paper and the ink flow is reduced and starts
to clog, when the ink is flowing onto the paper again, it seems to
open-up the flow on it's own.
