I've researched a bit more on drilling and I don't believe there is any
relation here.  There are 3 old wells in the 6 to 10 thousand foot range but
all are listed as wildcat dry holes in the state records.  The nearest
production appears to be about 15 miles northwest.

11S 5E.  Looking at the USGS sites there seems to be a pattern of historical
activity roughly following the Nebraska South Dakota border and these would
fit that pattern
