Hi Jim,

If you have good timing stamps on the files and you can get the data
into any of these formats.

GSE
SAC
miniSEED
Nordic / Seisan
ASCII

There are also a bunch of program that can convert most things into one
of those five formats.

Then the rest is carpentry, the Seisan suite of programs is all you
need. All free.

Have a great new year.

Saludos,

Angel

BC-Array:
Using state of the art digital recorders: Sigmas
SR=4ms, T=60s, with GPS, battery powered  http://www.i-seis.com/index.html;

Vertical and horizontal, 1 Hz, Geophones are used to detect microseismic activity:  http://www.csicablesupplies.com/PS-1.html

Visit sites weekly, to Collect data, and to replace batteries.
Close to my home in Boulder City (BC), near the Dam, and Lake Mead.
Array is in a random siting now, but plan on putting out a liner array of 32 sites spaced at ~200m, to use surface waves to determine Vs & Vp profiles to a depth ~3-6 km.

Would like something simple for EQ Locations to start.

Hi Jim,

Happy New Year.

I have a few questions:

Do each of the stations have good GPS timing?
What is the sample rate?
Are you digitizing on site or transferring data to a central site with some analog scheme?
What is the protocol the digitizers use?
Do you plan to user array proceeding (fk) or just plain jane locations?

A fuller description of the system would help.

I wish I had my own array :)

Saludos,

Angel

I would like to find a simple location program:
to determine magnitude, epicenter, and hypocenter.

Prefer program to be Windows OS, but will consider other systems too.
