Hello All,

Did anyone notice the strange distances listed for the Sumatra quake today?

There are three from Pearland, Texas, Two say about 10,000kms and the other says
around 16,000Kms, Same place?

My listing says 13500ish Kms (Calgary, AB Canada), where Kona Hawaii says 12,000 Kms. I
wish it was only 1500 Kms to Hawaii for me, I sure would visit a lot more!!! It is almost eight
hours of flyiing for me to get to Hawaii. Those must be pretty slow aircraft to fly 1500Kms in
eight hours?!?!? :-)

Spring TX is listed about 16,000Kms. Seems to agree with one of the Pearland Texas files. I
know Texas is a big place but 6000Kms??? :-)

Can anyone explain why the seemingly strange distances for this quake. I have never noticed
this before. (The difference in my distance and Kona's is what caught my eye.)

Thanks,

Jeff
