If you have never done this before:

Download the latest MEMTEST86+ ISO program
BURN the ISO results to a CD (It will be self booting)
BOOT up with that disc
Allow it to run for three complete error free passes
If it fails test 5 (Block Transfer test) Only
and not the other tests you most likely need
to adjust CL settings for your RAM from the BIOS.

This is a free program (or so i understand)

This will tell you the RAM and CPU and associated data paths are
OK or not.

I'm not saying burn the ISO file itself
but rather whats contained within the ISO itself.

Win7 should be able to do this kind of CD burn.
At least the Ultimate version.

If not then try DEEP Burner free portable edition to do the burn.

I use this program to test after overclocking.
