Hello PSN,

I seem to have found settings which allow me to see like deep Ml4.8 teleseismic events
just about anywhere in the world.

turn off all filters but one

[Integrate/filter Control]
Set filter pair at bottom as follows:
Low Pass Filter F0=0.333 N=1
High Pass Filter F0=0.04 N=8
[Trace Display]
Reduce amplitude to the point
where only slight undulations are appearant

I know it depends on more than this,
but I am using a SPZ geophone
And this only seems to work for
very deep teleseismic events.

You typically get a single pulse
indicating the arrival of P or pp waves.
Or if in the shadow zone unknown phases.

Just a thought if you are in a noisy area
and having a hard time seeing anything
but noise.
