Recently I thought my Oncore stopped working and found that the ground
shield on the antenna wire was pulled apart.  No grounded ground shield --

Tom,

My guess is you have a bad active antenna or the ONCORE receiver itself has
failed. I 
would check that the antenna is correctly connected to the receiver and if
that's ok 
move the antenna to a different location.
