Subject: Damping Resistor

Is anyone able to comment on this expression
to get a value for the damping resistor ?
Rd = (Rg/(sqrt(2) - 1))
So like if Rg = 438 Then
Rd = 1058
and this means
Ge = G * Rd/(Rd + Rg)
And, So that
G = 2.99 V/(in/sec)
Ge - 2.114 V/(in/sec)
For Winquake this becomes
2.114/2.54 = 0.83228 V/(cm/sec)
Would this be the value for the sensor in
Winquake and Winsdr ?
I'm just trying to get meaningful numbers for these programs.
Regards,
geoff
