OK I figured it out.... Going to Calculate tab and down to
DFT/FFT Settings
in there Window DFT/FFT and FFT Pad Data were both ticked
by default
at the installation of the program.
Unticking Window DFT/FFT restored the availability of the lo
pass, hipass,
notch etc buttons in the Full FFT window
cheers

Hi Dave,
Actually I would rather people use the PSN list to report problems with
the current beta releases of WinSDR and WinQuake.
Regarding the grayed out FFT filter items. This happens if you do a FFT
on just part of the dataset (FFT View Only) instead of doing a full FFT.
If you use the Calculate / DFT/FFT Settings / FFT Full menu items the
filter icons should be enabled.
Regarding the DFT options. This performs a discrete Fourier transform on
the data set rather then a FFT. More information can be found here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fast_Fourier_transform.
The DFT has some advantages over the FFT but it's much slower. If you do
a DFT on a lot of samples it will take a long time to complete.
I don't have a link up yet on my web site for the new WinQuake beta
release, so you will need to use the links below to download the new
version:
http://www.seismicnet.com/software/wq323b_32bit.exe
or

Hi Larry
Have been running WQ V3.2.3b 32bit since it was released in Jan on my main
computer. I just noticed tonite that I cant do filtering in the FFT mode
as I can
with the older versions. I dont know if its been that way since installed
or not as
I normally do my filtering in the older version of WQ that is on the Winsdr
puter.
That is the lo pass, hipass, notch etc buttons are all greyed out and
unclickable
cheers
Dave
