In answer to your question,..... "Do machine shops do this kind of 
work"?.......    I   think they may. I would call a few before I went 
there and try to describe the "part" over the phone. I had an old leaf 
spring from a Spenghnether years ago that I wanted to have duplicated 
and one shop said they could do it but they were too busy at the time. 
There was one PSN member who offered to do it for me but I have not seen 
any "entries" from him in a long time. His name is Bob Barns. You might 
also go to a local vocational high school that has a "machine shop" and 
talk to the instructor........  Hope this helps.   Ed.
