I was wrong, even after disabling the FiFo it still failed.
I just installed the USB to Serial type recommended
by Larry and will post if things like run OK 24 hours or more.
I cant tell you how frustrating this kind of error is.
Its like some little pesky gremlin.
Stay tuned to this channel for updates.
Unless you know whats causing the interruption
of data flow on a win7x64 OS
PLEASE, do not use a SIIG Prolific USB to Serial adapter.
