Subject: "Slinky Seismometer"

I recall seeing some psnlist traffic recently on published "how-to"
information for building a "Slinky Seismometer" vertical sensor, but I have
lost that message thread.

One of the middle-school teachers I work with in my "Earthquake 101" program
has an interest in conducting a student seismograph build project this year
at her school. I'll be donating an old data system for the project, but we
will also need a simple one-channel 12-bit or 16-bit ADC, and I thought that
the "Slinky Seismometer" would be a good, simple, intuitive build project
for the kids.

Can anyone pass along some good links to information on the "Slinky
Seismometer" ??

Thanks!

Steve
