I notice your friend is using AmaSeis.  Amaseis always creates a screen shot
file based on the station code in the AS1.ini file.  For instance mine is
RPSD.png.  The ini file also has line to specify the timing and location of
the screen shot.  SAVESCREENMINUTES=, SAVESCREENPATH=.  All you need to do
to upload is create the batch file with one line similar to this
C:\{path}\ncftpput -f c:\{path to firewall.txt C:\{path to the station.png}
Now schedule the batch file to run periodically and it's done.  You do not
need a screen capture program and you will only get the helicorder without
all the extra windows task bars and such.
